ARIZONA GOP CANDIDATE CHARLES BLACK VISITS ARIZONA’S SOUTHER BORDER

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

August 04, 2010

KINGMAN – (August 04) U.S. Representative Congressional District 2 Candidate Charles Black (R-AZ) recently traveled off-road south of interstate 8 to view firsthand the problems Arizona is facing with illegal immigration.

Mr. Black who has been called a true reformer concerning immigration problems facing our nation spent Sunday visiting an area south of interstate 8 in Arizona. The trip included traveling through areas that have been considered exceedingly dangerous and hazardous to visit.

Mr. Black was traveling on Bureau of Land Management unmaintained roads that extend out through most of southern Arizona. These are the same roads that in the past have been used by both Arizona residents and visitors to our State. Today these same roads are now used for drug trafficking, human smuggling and lethal encounters from those who have entered Arizona unlawfully.

The litter that has been left behind by these individuals and groups has had a negative impact on our stunning desert scenery. This waste also reflects how the Federal Government has failed to defend Arizona and the United States.

If elected I will fight to bring our borders under control and end the unnecessary spending that has only left our nation open to those who enter on the accord and have no respect for our country.

DeFundit.org Endorsement of Charles Black for Congress

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ARIZONA GOP CANDIDATE FOR CD2 CHARLES BLACK FIGHTING FOR VETERANS RIGHTS

KINGMAN – (August 3) Today DeFundIt.org is releasing the attached letter signed by Charles Black and twenty-five other veteran candidates calling for exempting injured veterans and their health insurance plans from ObamaCare’s medical device tax that punishes them for their service on behalf of our nation. Charles Black, speaking on his call for Congressional action, said:

Dear Members of Congress,

We, the undersigned veteran candidates, have serious concerns that the health care reform law’s excise tax on medical devices will force our fellow veterans that sustained injuries from their service to pay higher costs for necessary medical devices. In March Senator Orrin Hatch offered an amendment to exempt veterans from this tax, but unfortunately was defeated in the United States Senate. It is absolutely shameful that our representatives have deliberately chosen to punish veterans for their sacrifices to our nation. We call on Congress to immediately exempt injured veterans and their health care plans from this punitive medical device tax. This is just one of far too many examples of how out-of-touch Washington politicians really are and precisely why we are running for office this year in hope to provide real public service and leadership.

If elected, we pledge to be relentless in fighting to ensure our nation’s best and brightest are always treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.

Sincerely,

Illario Pantano (NC-07)
